Whitney Cummings is a comedian, writer, and actress who has performed in stand-up specials for both HBO
and Comedy Central. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series "Whitney," Whitney was also the
co-creator and co-writer of the Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series "2 Broke Girls" and was an executive
producer on the ABC revival of "Roseanne." Her first book "I'm Fine and Other Lies" is available wherever books are sold and her film directorial debut "The Female Brain" is available for streaming.

Whitney Cummings is a Los Angeles-based comedian, actress and writer. She got her start as a cast member for the MTV show "Punk'd" and began performing stand-up in 2004. As a comedian, she has appeared regularly on "Chelsea Lately," and she has performed on"The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien," "Down and Dirty with Jim Norton" and "Last Call with Carson Daly." She was a featured roaster at the Comedy Central roasts of Joan Rivers, David Hasselhoff and Donald Trump.
Cummings wrote, co-executive produced and performed stand-up on the comedy series "Live! Nude! Comedy!" for Showtime. She was named one of Variety's "Top 10 Comics to Watch" and one of Entertainment Weekly's "Comedy Stars of Tomorrow."
In 2009, Cummings' released her debut stand-up album, "Emotional Ninja." In 2010 her one-hour stand-up special, "Money Shot," premiered on Comedy Central. That same year, Cummings toured with Denis Leary and the "Rescue Me" Comedy Tour. She also appeared with Leary on his comedy special "Douchebags and Donuts."
As an actress, Cummings co-starred in the Sony feature "Made of Honor" with Patrick Dempsey and appeared on Fox's "House, M.D." She is the creator and star of the NBC sitcom Whitney, as well as the co-creator of the CBS sitcom 2 Broke Girls.
